Just came from a long read at JohnChow.com. It seems the SEO guys have come up with a private group and avenue for sharing their Internet Marketing Skills and SEO knowledge. To start-off, here’s a quote from their website’s front page:
You’ll learn the secrets of Internet marketing from some of the industry’s most experienced leaders, including: Aaron Wall (SEOBook), Andy Beal (Marketing Pilgrim), Bill Slawski (SEO by the Sea), Jim Gilbert (KeyRelevance), Cameron Olthuis, Neil Patel (ACS), Jeremy Schoemaker (ShoeMoney), Jill Whalen (HighRankings), Jim Boykin (We Build Pages), Christine Churchill (KeyRelevance), Lee Odden (TopRank), Todd Malicoat (Stuntdubl), and others! When you join Internet Marketing Ninjas, you get over 15 hours of “tell-all” videos by these giants of the Internet marketing industry.
Whew. The list of experts all sounded like a million-dollar bell to me, even though I only know Wall and Schoemaker and Odden. Signing-up on their website supposedly gives you access to videos, presentations, articles and member-only tools provided by these Internet Marketing giants, which can help your online business, blog, or affiliate marketing website earn huge amounts of money. The registration is $2995 for a year of membership.
(pause)
I’ll not react to the membership fee. I’ll just say that it will probably take a regular part-time blogger 5 years to even get that amount from Adsense; for some even, longer. Obviously Internet Marketing Ninjas are not for us. But I went over to their site anyway just to learn what I can for free. And like any subscription or pay-per-view website like Plabyoy and HBO Boxing, Internet Marketing Ninjas has these small preview clips from their experts. I went over the list and decided to watch only three, before writing this post. I’m listing them below, why them, and I will summarize what I learned from the clips.
- Christine Churchill of KeyRelevance. Why? Because I found her picture attractive. Hehe. Not really. The main reason is that she has this video about keyword misspellings, an SEO path I would really like to explore and be good at. Anyway I learned the following from Christine: how they use PPC to drive SEO keywords, good landing pages from outside links, and othey keyword idea techniques.
- Aaron Wall of SEOBook fame. Why? Because he is popular. I couldn’t understand half of what he was talking about(mainly because of the accent and the poor audio quality) but I learned that you should drink coffee and some juice while giving a lecture to sound cool and more believable. And that you should support the Directories you are submitting your website to(like Yahoo Directory) by creating links to it (thereby increasing its PageRank) because it already has a higher chance of being displayed in search results than your small-time website. Since you’ve submitted your site there, you’ll get a good and higher chance of being clicked, rather than over-optimizing your website to no avail.
- Jeremy Schoemaker of Shoemoney. Why? Because IMJ offers his videos on how to earn from blogs, which is what we are all about. Well, I got to see again the $130,000-Google-Adsense-check-for-just-a-month picture and hear the little “organic” story about it. That story by Old Schoe’ pretty much made my day, as well as a few pointers about arbitrage which are just amazing.
I’ll just get back to the other Ninja preview videos when I have the time. If you would like to check them out as well and you have a speedier Internet connection, you can visit them at http://www.internetmarketingninjas.com/. Isn’t it remarkable that their domain name is meant to be linked, or searched and clicked at, rather than typed in the address bar? These guys, I tell you, are for real.
But since I am Dark Knight and as you know, am a Ninja myself already, I’ll just cook my own SEO, Keyword and Marketing experiments and hopefully I can share them all to you someday for a recurring FREE Membership Fee every year.
